There are some excellent resaurants, bars and night clubs in Chennai city. many of them within 10 minutes of the Taj Comorandel hotel.

If you are looking for somewhere for a beer or liquer then of the many places the Leather Bar in the Park Hotel should not be missed. Later you could head to Pasha, one of the local clubs frequented by westeners and locals alike.
